Gayle Wilson Nathanson, MSW, LCSW

Gayle Nathanson is Executive Director and Founder of the Southern California Youth and Family Center in Inglewood, California. She administers this comprehensive, community based service center that addresses adolescent pregnancy and its prevention, child care, child abuse prevention, high-risk youth, and AIDS prevention education.

Some of Gayle's areas of expertise include: program development; public policy analysis; adolescent pregnancy and parenting; mental health; case management; and youth violence prevention, just to name a few.

Gayle is currently a member of the Board of Medical Quality Assurance, Division of Medical Quality; Black Infant Mortality Leadership Committee, California Department of Health Services; and the Los Angeles County Adolescent Pregnancy Leadership Council.

She has also received honors from the California State Department of Social Services, California Alliance Concerned with School Age Parents, Los Angeles County Commission for Women, United States House of Representatives and the California State Assembly to name a few.

Gayle Nathanson received her Bachelor of Arts degree and her Master of Social Welfare from the University of California, Los Angeles. She also received a certificate in Executive Program in Management in 1990.
