PCI's program in Kenya, Ushikwapo Shikamana (If Assisted, Assist Yourself) won the Population Institute's 22nd Global Media Award in the category of Best Radio Program.

The awards honor those who have contributed to creating awareness of population problems through their journalistic endeavors in a meritorious manner.

Hearty congratulations to Kimani Njogu, PCI's regional representative in Africa and head scriptwriter for Ushikwapo Shikamana, who has been with the program since its inception. We also congratulate the entire writing team and those at Twaweza Communications; the production team at Top-Com, under the leadership of Tom Kazungu; and all the talented actors who work on the show.
