Program Development Manager (New York-based)
The Program Development Manager will lead the development of new programs in Africa and Asia by helping to form productive partnerships and by seeking and securing funding. The position assumes responsibility for the development, implementation and evaluation of new program initiatives in Asia and Africa using entertainment-education techniques pioneered by PCI-Media Impact more than 20 years ago. Candidates should have strong writing and experience effectively working with individuals, coalitions and organization abroad. A proven track record of resource mobilization is essential. Masters degree in communications, public health, international development, public administration or related is preferred.
We seek a person with a proven track record and 3-6 years of experience in the following areas:
- Social change communications, entertainment-education, social marketing
- Work at or with multi- or bi-lateral institutions such as the United Nations, USAID, World Bank
- Fundraising and proposal writing experience
- Program management in Asia or Africa
- New business development
- Research, monitoring, and evaluation
- Television and radio production and writing
Position is based in New York City (with possibility of tele-commute from Washington D.C.) and offers competitive compensation, in the $50-60K range and excellent benefits. Please note that PCI-Media Impact does not provide for any relocation expenditures. International travel representing approximately 25% of time may be required.
