Internship Program 2008-09
PCI-Media Impact
awards a variety of competitive part-time and full-time
internships to highly motivated high school, undergraduate
and graduate students and recent graduates working as a
member of either our programs, communications or development
and fundraising departments. Internships are available
during the fall, winter, spring and summer terms.

Niloufer Randeria
Programs Intern, 2008
Niloufer joins PCI-Media Impact as a Programs Intern. She has experience in the International Public Health Field and has conducted program implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and nutritional survey assessments, in addition to grant making and disbursement. She has worked in several countries, including India, Indonesia, Nepal and USA. She is working towards a Masters Degree in Public Administration at Baruch College. Niloufer has already obtained MHS from Johns Hopkins University and an MPH from the University of Arizona.
Anne Deane
Programs Intern, 2008
Anne joined PCI-Media Impact as a summer intern in 2008. As an intern she is taking part in both the Programs Team, focusing on the launch of the Training of Trainers program, and the Development Team, working on advertising. Anne is currently pursuing her Bachelors Degree with a double major in English and Political Science at Duke University.
Renee Rivas
Development Intern, 2008
Renee is currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in English, with a concentration in writing, at the College of Mount Saint Vincent and graduated in May 2008. Renee works with PCI-Media Impact’s Development Staff to analyze impact evaluations, creating program profiles that highlight a program’s ability to create change in a community. She has previous work experience in legal procedure, NYC law reform, and non-profit organizations for pubic education.
Melissa Noordervliet
Programs Intern, 2008
Melissa is a Communication Science student at the University of Amsterdam. While completing her thesis on the effectiveness of Entertainment- Education, Melissa came across studies documenting PCI-Media Impact’s influence and strength in the field, and decided to seek an internship with the organization. Melissa joined the Internship Program this year and will work with the Programs Staff on issues related to Latin America. She has a great affinity for Latin America, traveling to various countries in the region, and, in 2002, working as a teaching assistant at a Guatemalan daycare. Melissa’s other areas of experience include organization of a photography festival, as well as film/video production.

limited number of travel stipends are available. For
